Animal chiropractic is the use of specific adjustments to increase the mobility in joints of the spine and extremities. Throughout daily activities animals will periodically develop areas with decreased range of motion. This is more common in older animals, athletes, and working animals. Restoring normal motion to these areas reduces the risk of inflammation and degeneration to these tissues as well as resultant compensations in other areas of the body. In addition, maintaining normal spinal motion supports normal functioning of the organs controlled by nerves exiting the spinal cord. It also helps to maintain intervertebral disc health, reducing the risk of disc herniation.
